GoD List Halloween

Each and every week “Four More Wins!!” Henchman21 AND “Go Tigers!!” MK2Fac3 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, they looks forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and they’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of October 24, 2012. Single issues and trades, they’re all here.

I’m gonna level with you gentle readers, it’s another one of those weeks where there are a bunch of books, but I don’t care about too many of them. So, I’ll just list a few books and give you a couple lines about why you may want to check them out. Cool? Let’s do this, the old fashioned GoD List way.

Henchman21

Issues:

Artifacts 22

Artifacts #22 (Image Comics – $3.99) It’s a good jumping on point as the Magdalena is reintroduced into the Top Cow universe. I’ve always liked Stejpen Sejic’s painted art style but I haven’t read Artifacts since issue 13, which was the end of the big event that was kind of the point of the series, at least at the beginning. I’ll give this a shot, at least to see what the series has been up to.

Debris #4 (of 4) (Image Comics – $3.50) This is the last issue of a great mini-series that you may have missed. This has been some of the best art of Riley Rossmo’s career, and I’ve really enjoyed the story of a search for a utopia in a post-apocalyptic world populated by junk monsters. Anyway, search out the back issues or pick up the trade when it comes out.

Journey into Mystery #645 (Marvel Comics – $2.99) This is the end of Kieron Gillen’s run. I never read any of it, but everyone who read it seems to have liked it. I need to buy this at some point. There’s a whole bunch of runs ending thanks to Marvel NOW! See also”¦

FF #23 (Marvel Comics – $2.99) I talked a couple weeks ago about the last issue of Fantastic Four being the end of Jonathan Hickman’s run. Well, it kind of was, but in a more real way this is the end of his run. Anyway, I did read this one. And it’s good. I’m sad to see this ending.

Go buy some comics!
