Brian Cox was fabulous as Lecter. Manhunter was the original crime-horror film and quite an inspiration for “crime/tech” shows of today, a la CSI. And as far as I know, this was the coolest film/TV event that William Petersen was ever a part of. Petersen’s Will Graham was far and above that of Norton in Red Dragon.
1986 still rocks. Manhunter is THE start of Hannibal Lecter.
