Eddie Redmayne, one of the many stars of the fast-approaching new film version of Les Miserables, is in talks to join the cast of Jupiter Ascending, the next movie from The Matrix trilogy and Cloud Atlas writers and directors, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski.
Redmayne would join Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, who are both already on board the project. Details about the movie are very few at the moment. Tatum is playing a man named Django Wise, while Kunis is playing a Russian immigrant named Jupiter. It’s unclear who Redmayne would be playing.
The actor has appeared in Elizabeth: The Golden Age, The Other Boleyn Girl, Black Death, miniseries The Pillars of the Earth, and My Week With Marilyn leading up to Les Miserables. He was also recently being looked at for the role of Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (before the part went to Dane DeHaan), and he’s one of the many talented actors being tested for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Wachowskis hope to get things moving on Jupiter Ascending come early 2013.
