Recently we found out that Bethesda was ready to make some noise this year in addition to the release of The Elder Scrolls Online, the company’s upcoming MMORPG. There’s been plenty of speculation as to what they might be ready to announce, with most believing it would be Fallout 4.
Now comes the first announcement of the year, the reveal of The Evil Within. The game is a brand new survival horror game from none other than Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami that’s being developed by Bethesda parent company Zenimax Media’s Japanese studio, Tango Gameworks.
With the announcement also comes a first trailer. It’s a live-action trailer, so we still don’t know exactly what to expect from the gameplay, unfortunately. That said the trailer is downright twisted, and may just revisit you tonight as you slumber. Continue below to check it out!
This is one announcement from Bethesda, but they’re only publishing this one, so it’s still expected that the next game they’re developing will be unveiled at some point soon.
The Evil Within is currently slated for a 2014 release on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and next generation consoles.

Bethesda sucks now. Why are they becoming so evil? Oblivion was great. Great righteous thieves guild and whatever. Fallout was great because you could really choose… I don’t know what happened. I noticed it in Skyrim where all the quests are about killing innocent random people. Too bad I really like the Bethesda of before.
