The young up-and-coming actress and daughter of Phil, after a stint on the newer 90210, first appeared in The Blind Side, and has since starred in movies like Priest, Abduction, and live-action take on the tale of Snow White, Mirror Mirror.
Now the actress has joined a movie that has had troubles moving forward, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The movie is based on the dark and twisted remixed take on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice penned by author Seth Grahame-Smith.
We found out back in 2009 that Natalie Portman was producing and would be starring in the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies movie, but she eventually decided not to star and focus only on producing. Multiple directors have also been attached with nothing working.
It appeared at one time that the movie simply wasn’t going to happen, but we found out recently that the project was back from the dead, and this new casting news only fortifies the new attempt at making the movie happen.
On top of all of that, a new director has also been chosen in Burr Steers, who has directed Igby Goes Down, 17 Again, and Charlie St. Cloud.
Collins can soon be seen in this summer’s The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, an adaptation of the young adult book series, The Mortal Instruments.
Will Pride and Prejudice and Zombies make it to the movies this time around?
