The first trailer for Roland Emmerich‘s White House Down was surprisingly somber and lacked the action-packed punch you would expect from an Emmerich film.
This new trailer, however, is the polar opposite of that. In just a matter of weeks, we are already getting trailer number two for the film, and there is a lot of action to look out for. Not only that, but make sure to look out for some hilarious buddy cop chemistry between Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum.

The new White House Down trailer also has some emphasis on the plot. Yes there is much more to this film than saving the President of the United States (Foxx). In it, we learn that Channing Tatum’s character is actually unemployed and on his way to a job interview to be a part of the Secret Service. With his daughter (Joey King) tagging along, hopes are high, but in the end he doesn’t quite get the job. Little does Tatum know that, terrorists will attack the White House the same day, and it’s up to him to save the President and stop the terrorists.
It’s a pretty good trailer to be honest. There are plenty of things blowing up, and I love the chemistry between Foxx and Tatum, something that is clearly displayed when the two try to figure out how to use mini-guns and rocket launchers.
Columbia Pictures will release White House Down in theaters on June 28.
