From the creators of the supernatural Underworld series, I, Frankenstein is written for the screen and directed by Stuart Beattie based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux.
Starring Aaron Eckhart as Frankenstein’s monster, I, Frankenstein pits gargoyles and demons against each other in the “ultimate battle for immortality.” The film also stars Bill Nighy, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, and Yvonne Strahovski.
Beattie is predominantly a screenwriter, accredited with penning scripts for films like Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, 30 Days of Night, Punisher: War Zone, Australia, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. He made his directorial debut in 2010 with Tomorrow, When the War Began, an Australian war drama.
Frankenstein’s monster, named Adam and having taken the surname of his creator, becomes involved in a war between two immortal clans in an ancient city.
I, Frankenstein opens nationwide January 14, 2014.
