With the fall comes all-new television series and coming this September to Fox is Sleepy Hollow, an old tale but with a new twist.
The new series is based on Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, but is a modern retelling where Ichabod Crane is resurrected in present-day where the world is in danger and he’s humanity’s last hope. Oh, and there’s a murderous Headless Horseman!
Watch the video here below for the show, titled “Secrets,” as well as the full trailer.
From co-creators/executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (the “Star Trek” and “Transformers” franchises, “Fringe”) comes the adventure thriller SLEEPY HOLLOW. In this modern-day retelling of Washington Irving’s classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison, “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen”) is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to find that the world is on the brink of destruction and that he is humanity’s last hope, forcing him to team up with a contemporary police officer (Nicole Beharie, “Shame,” “American Violet”) to unravel a mystery that dates back to the founding fathers.
I’m totally looking forward to this series, and even got to glimpse an actual Headless Horseman last month during Comic-Con in San Diego.
Sleepy Hollow comes to Fox on Mondays at 9/8c, starting on September 16, 2013.

As you can see in the videos here, Clancy Brown is in the show and for some reason they give away what happens to him, but it is a cool nod to his role as the Kurgan from Highlander. Nice bit of casting here.

This looks borderline unwatchable.
