People love Loki. This is not something many villains can say, but Loki, who appears in Thor, The Avengers, and upcoming sequel Thor: The Dark World, is not your average villain. This is largely thanks to actor Tom Hiddleston, who portrays the Asgardian god in all three movies.
Hiddleston is so popular as Loki, in fact, that a petition has been created to try and get Marvel to make a stand alone Loki movie. Petitions are made all the time, of course, and rarely given a second look. But so far this particular petition has rapidly obtained support from all around the globe, quickly rising to almost 19,000 signatures as of the writing of this post, and has been covered by numerous news outlets.
If you’re among those who want to see a stand alone Loki movie, you can head to Change.org and sign the petition now.
Personally, while I do love the Loki character and would at least be open to what they might do with him in a solo flick, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the Marvel/DC crossover with Matt Damon as Loki and Ben Affleck as Batman. No?

Matt Damon as Loki? Why not Ben Stiller so the two Bens can go at each othet?

I’d like to see Loki as a true mythic figure rather than the farcical joke that Marvel Entertainment has portrayed him as.

Loki would make a truly awesome anti hero in his own film. I would love to see it especially how this actor has brought him to life thus far.
