The Gold Box spotlight deal of the day over at Amazon today is The X-Files: The Complete Series + Movies DVDs for only $89.99 (that’s 73% off the list price of $329.98).
This bundle contains single-season DVDs for all 9 seasons of the television series which starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, along with the two feature films, The X-Files: Fight the Future and The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
Note, this deal is valid only for today Tuesday, October 1, 2013, until 11:59pm PST while supplies last.
Today only, save 73% on all nine seasons of “The X-Files” plus the movies. Follow the careers and personal lives of FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in one of the longest-running science fiction series in US television history.
The review for this indicates that it’s comprised of the slim-pack DVDs that lack some special features included in similar collections. Also, there have been rumors about Fox working on a remastered Blu-Ray collection and an X-Files panel at this years SDCC touched lightly on the possibility but, to the best of my knowledge, nothing confirmed. Still…for 200+ episodes and a couple of movies? Seems like a pretty good deal!
