A new extended gameplay video has been released for The Evil Within, the upcoming survival horror game from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and developer Tango Gameworks, and it sure does look disturbing.
We recently saw a gameplay trailer for the game, but this new look gives you a much better feel for what to expect, some of the stealth gameplay, and what kind of enemies you’ll be dealing with.

SYNOPSIS:
Detective Sebastien Castellanos and his partners are called in to investigate a gruesome mass murder. After witnessing a mysterious force slaughter his fellow officers, Sebastian is ambushed and knocked unconscious. When the video opens, he finds his world has been turned upside down. Facing unimaginable terror and fighting for survival in a world where hideous creatures wander among the dead, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel who or what is behind this unimaginable evil.
The Evil Within is coming to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC, and will be released sometime in 2014.
So what do you think? I’m on the fence at this point. The stealthy first part of this video is great, like Texas Chainsaw Massacre the video game, and it looks like it will be terrifying to play. The rest of the video, apart from the equally creepy multi-limbed lady, looks a lot closer to Resident Evil, and that’s not so appealing to I.
