SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Episode 409 “After.”
Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead — Episode 409 “After” — was the Season 4 mid-season premiere, and in my opinion, there definitely wasn’t enough action or information revealed about the fate of the main characters after having waited for a new episode since December.
There was one sequence was that pretty cool and I think it was what the showrunners were banking on to be the badass moment of the episode, which was when Michonne beheads a group of Walkers with her signature weapon, the katana.
You can watch that scene here below. Also included below are two behind-the-scenes/making-of videos for the episode.
The mid-season finale showed us a huge standoff at the prison between Rick’s group and the Governor’s new militia and let’s just say it ended badly. Last night’s premiere centered on Carl and Rick getting to safety and Michonne following their muddy footsteps in an effort to meet up with them after they were separated at the prison. But, what the episode lacked in action, it made up for with that look back at Michonne’s pre-apocalypse life, as well as some insight into how Carl and Michonne are coping now, and also Carl’s struggle with his father and their survival.
