The Walking Dead is heading to the big screen, and the first teaser for the currently untitled feature film has been released online after being shown at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

You can check out the teaser video below if interested. Fair warning: a spoiler for those who don’t follow The Walking Dead closely will be discussed, so only proceed if you’re caught up or don’t care.

OK, so it’s not the biggest spoiler in the world because it was all over the news and nearly impossible to avoid seeing, but it was announced last May that Andrew Lincoln, who played Rick Grimes on AMC’s The Walking Dead series from season one, episode one into season nine, which ended earlier this year.

A few months after that news, it was revealed that Lincoln would be playing Rick Grimes once again in a trio of feature films sometime in the future.

This is a teaser for the first of those movies. And it is very much a teaser, unfortunately, not a teaser trailer. It’s only a few seconds long and shows almost nothing. But it’s something.

No release window for the untitled Rick Grimes Walking Dead movie has been announced yet, but when it does arrive you’ll be able to see it on the big screen.
