Vincent D’Onofrio is joining the cast of Jurassic World and will play a villain Universal’s continuation/reboot of their successful Jurassic Park franchise, according to Deadline.
Along with the former Law & Order: Criminal Intent star, the trade also reports that Indian actor Irrfan Khan, who’s appeared in Life Of Pi and The Amazing Spider-Man, has also been cast in a role that’s yet to be revealed.
Starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, Jurassic World will be set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park and will likely see the return to Isla Nublar, the island from the previous film.
Originally scheduled for a theatrical release this Summer, the film was moved to June 12, 2015. Executive producer Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two movies and executive-produced the third, is back on board as executive producer of Jurassic World and was reportedly helping director Colin Trevorrow polish the script.
