Tonight is the 86th Annual Academy Awards! As we do every year, starting at 7pm EST we’ll be live blogging the entire event from the pre-show red carpet extravaganza through the final Oscar acceptance speech and orchestral “wrap it up” movement.

This year’s Oscar nominees have some heavy hitters vying for the top awards, including 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, Gravity, and The Wolf of Wall Street all up for multiple awards. Actors including Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chiwetal Eijofor, Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, and Meryl Streep are up for top awards and it’ll be interesting to see who gets the statue!

Of course, this year’s In Memorium will also take an especially somber note as we say goodbye to actors like Philip Seymour Hoffman, Shirley Temple, Sid Caesar, and other film industry legends. Unfortunately, Harold Ramis, who both passed away last week, might not make it into the reel, not unless there was a last-minute revision, as the In Memorium is created weeks in advance.

On an up note though, the Awards tonight will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, who will be sure to bring her positive brand of comedy styling to the show, and will undoubtedly force a few winners to randomly dance on stage.
