Joel McHale True Detective parody from The Soup

This Sunday will see the Season 1 finale of HBO’s much-talked-about crime drama True Detective. This first season centers on two Louisiana state detectives, played by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, who were partnered up in 1995 to investigate the ritualistic murder of a young girl. McConaughey’s Rust Cohle takes every opportunity to get philosophical, leaving the audience to wonder what clues are hidden in his heavy, oft-indecipherable dialogue.

The crew over at The Soup, including Community stars Joel McHale (who hosts The Soup) and Jim Rash, put together a parody of the HBO series, asking “Can Anyone Understand “True Detective?”

Check out the video parody, which aired on The Soup on E! last night, here below.

Dogface to the banana patch, ya’ll.
