So far for Walt Disney Studios’ Maleficent we’ve seen the teaser trailer, as well as the Dream trailer, which featured Lana Del Rey’s rendition of “Once Upon A Dream,” the song from Disney’s classic animated feature Sleeping Beauty (on which Maleficent is based).
The full trailer for the film, which stars Angelina Jolie as the famed titled villainess, launches tomorrow, but in the meantime, the studio has released a clip called “Maleficent’s Wings,” where the character talks about how she used to have wings; there’s also a new banner poster for the film which shows Maleficent with her massive black wings. Check out both new items here below.
Maleficent, which also stars Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville, opens in theaters on May 30, 2014.
A few other promotion items from Maleficent are now available, like a new one-sheet poster featuring the title character in full, as well as a few new images, including one of Maleficent standing with toddler Princess Aurora, who is played Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, Jolie’s real-life 5-year-old daughter with Brad Pitt. These new items are here below as well.
DESCRIPTION:From Disney comes “Maleficent”””the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.” A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom””and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.
