During the big Xbox One reveal, it was announced that a new live-action Halo TV series was on the way involving Steven Spielberg. Now Microsoft has announced another new Halo project.
In a brief e-mail sent out, the company revealed plans for a new digital feature project produced by Ridley Scott that will be released later this year. They also pointed out that this is a completely separate project from the TV series.
Continue reading to see the announcement.
Here’s the e-mail sent out by a Microsoft representative:
343 Industries, Xbox Entertainment Studios and Scott Free Productions are proud to announce a new “Halo” digital feature project to be released later this year. The project will be executive produced by Ridley Scott and Scott Free TV President, David Zucker. Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (“Battlestar Galactica” “Pillars of the Earth,” “Heroes”) will direct.
Nothing else is known about the project, but more details will be announced during E3 this summer.
Speculation is that perhaps this is another live-action project similar to Forward Unto Dawn, but we’ll have to wait and see to be sure.
