The opening credits of every episode of Game of Thrones is a mini event in itself, showcasing the various locations of Westeros significant to wherever the story is at and evolving as the show progresses. If you’ve never seen the show, you can watch this video to see an example of the opening.
Now the Bethesda Softworks game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has gotten its own Game of Thrones opening treatment, showing off the various locations of the game’s map while the familiar GoT theme plays.
You can see the video below.
The video comes from Brady Wold, who explains how it came to be:
The Game of Thrones intro re-imagined for Skyrim.
An extra special thanks to Ramin Djawadi, and the folks at Roland Studio HD for their inspiring work.
This started off as an exercise to kill time one afternoon about two years ago, never intending it to be a finished product. I continued to work on it here and there throughout various freelance projects, internships, and other personal projects until it eventually became a burden.
After thousands of hours of work and rendering, it’s time to move on to bigger, and better things. I present “Thrones.” Thanks to everyone who has inspired me, and given me support!
