Metallica must REALLY need cash! That’s the only explanation that I can come up with for the lows that they are willing to sink to these days. In their latest display of shameless corporate whoring, they appear in an ESPN commercial, shilling for the network’s show Sports Center.
Granted, the ad is actually sort of funny, but c’mon… you just know that these meat-head jock dudes are the same guys that were giving Kirk Hammett swirlys in the junior high boys bathroom.
Urgh. I’m not surprised. I deleted all of my Metallica library and sold my CDs years ago. I can’t even listen to their “good” stuff these days. Fortunately there’s plenty of good thrash from people who aren’t greedy whores so it’s no loss.
What a bummer musicians have to apologise now for making money off of their business brand. Get a life losers it is a business and their lively hood the only sell out is stupid fans that buy into bullshit. It is their job, their living, their nine to five. Morons!
