With BioWare’s highly anticipated sequel Dragon Age: Inquisition being released on the same day as games like Alien: Isolation and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, it was pretty obvious at least one of those game would eventually be moved off that date. It’d be silly to have some of the year’s most exciting upcoming titles all come out on the same day when there’s plenty of other open dates available this fall after many other titles were pushed back to 2015.
This has now been confirmed with the announcement that the next Dragon Age has been delayed. But no worries, the delay is not a major one. Instead of October 7th, Inquisition will now be released on November 18th.
In addition to the Dragon Age delay, the next game in the Battlefield franchise has also been pushed back. Battlefield Hardline, which steps out of the military shooter genre and into the realms of cops and criminals, has been bumped out of 2014 and into early 2015.
If you’d like to read more about the delays and why it was decided to push back the release dates, you can do so over at the Dragon Age and Battlefield sites.
If you’ve not yet seen the games in action, be sure to check out the Inquisition and Hardline gameplay demos now!
