Los Angeles ethereal doom band Ides of Gemini have just released an extended teaser clip for their highly anticipated sophomore album Old World New Wave. The clip was produced and directed by the band’s singer/bass player Sera Timms (who is also a member of Black Mare) and features drummer Kelly Johnston-Gibson. Ides of Gemini are a three piece rounded out by guitarist Jason Bennett.

Old World New Wave is the highly anticipated follow-up to the band’s 2012 debut Constantinople. Among the many advance accolades awarded the album are that it was listed among Alternative Press’s Most Anticipated Albums Of The Rest Of 2014 as well as The Obelisk’s Records Not To Miss Before The New Year Hits.

Accompanying the haunting imagery of the short film are sound snippets of some of the songs from Old World New Wave, which was engineered and mixed by Chris Rakestraw (Danzig) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning producer Matt Hyde (Slayer). The hand-drawn cover art is by Johnston-Gibson.

Old World New Wave will be released on CD and digitally via Neurot Recordings and on vinyl via SIGE Records on September 16th, 2014.
