The next-gen update of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us hits store shelves for Sony’s PS4 today, so it’s a damn fine day to enjoy some related goodies.
Last week we shared with you a trailer for a one-night-only live performance of the 2013 Game of the Year. That live performance did indeed take place last evening, and, thankfully for everyone who wasn’t able to attend or missed the live stream online, is now online in full.
You can watch it below, but if you’ve not yet played the game (What are you waiting for?! Go now, it’s that good!) do avoid this until you have.
The performance was directed by the game’s creative director Neil Druckmann and featured the main voice/performance capture actors, Troy Baker (Joel), Ashley Johnson (Ellie), Annie Wersching (Tess), Merle Dandridge (Marlene), and Hana Hayes (Sarah), accompanied by the unforgettable music of two-time Oscar-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla.
If you are familiar with the game you won’t find the ending you’re expecting here. Instead, they decided to have a little fun and do the alternate ending, which, for those who aren’t aware, was a funny little prank pulled on Troy Baker (who responded flawlessly).
You can grab The Last of Us Remastered now.
