Ryan Reynolds Deadpool Test Footage In HD

Remember that recently leaked Deadpool test footage we all went crazy over because we saw in it the awesome Deadpool movie that could be? Well, the filmmakers have some suggestions on how this movie can finally get made.

First up, Rhett Reese, the Deadpool screenwriter, took to Twitter last week to ask fans to cast their “vote” for the film by retweeting his status: Team Pool needs your official ‘vote’ of support. Let’s break the internet. RETWEET if you would buy a ticket to the DEADPOOL MOVIE.

The status was posted to Twitter on August 7, 2014, and has since (at the time of this writing) gotten 45,148 Retweets and has been Favorited 11,411 times.

Along with the retweets, according to Yahoo Movies Canada, director Tim Miller, who created the test footage in 2013 through his company Blur Studios, had some more advice for fans who want to see a Deadpool film get made:

“I would say–‘less anger more love,'” Miller said. “Fans saying how much they love Wade Wilson will win hearts and minds.”

By “less anger” we can assume he means less anger towards Twentieth Century Fox, the studio with the rights for the film. So far, no one can figure out how this project has been in development hell all these years, even though they have Ryan Reynolds, who appeared as the Merc with the Mouth on the big screen in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, signed on to star; a script by Reese; and a willing and eager director in Miller, who obviously is on the right track with this vision for the film.

The test footage released was a 2-minute video that featured a CGI Deadpool voiced by Ryan Reynolds and was reportedly part of an animated 8 minutes of test footage put together by Miller, who had been tapped to direct Deadpool back in 2011.

Will all this advice help? It just might, so stop the hate and go retweet the hell out of Reese’s Twitter status!

  1. They need to keep the movie obscene, gritty, and violent. They need to capture Wade in his full essence. The test footage showed him toying with a decapitated head.. Which seemed appropriate. Although his voice was a little to soft. Not as demented as he seemed. But I guess it fits anyhow.. a stone cold killer that prefers to draw and write with crayons. I just hope they don’t make it PG-13. I feel that would ruin it. I love how he was portrayed in Wolverine, not being able to feed into his mind due to his mouth being.. non-existent. If they chose to do it in a modern setting, they need to bring closure to fans as to how he survived, or rather who helped him after X-men origins.. At least through flashbacks.
