Did Robert Downey Jr. Tease The ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Trailer?

It’s been over six weeks since those of us lucky enough to get into the Marvel Studios panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con got to see the trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron. And while the studio only recently released the full official synopsis for this latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s been a long damn time for the masses to wait to see any of the footage.
But, star Robert Downey Jr., who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man in the MCU, posted to his Twitter account on Tuesday that he’d have a surprise to share the next day. Is the Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer the surprise?
Also, in the photo accompanying the tweet, the actor is shown sporting the same Black Sabbath shirt he wore in The Avengers, as ComicBook.com spotted. They also pointed out that co-star Mark Ruffulo tweeted at the end of August a link to a very brief hush-hush video he made teasing that something was coming soon. Well, it’s now soon enough!
Normally, I don’t bother to write up speculative posts about trailer releases; matter of fact, I don’t usually bother writing them up even when the studio flat-out gives the trailer release date. But, I’ve spent a lot of time in the last six weeks describing this trailer to people, since I did get to see it at SDCC (after I slept outside on line all night with thousands of like-minded people in order to get in the next morning), and I’m starting to forget the imagery. So, even though I saw the footage, it’s fading from my memory and I want it back! And, I want you all to experience it too, because from what I saw, this movie is gonna be so kick-ass.
Now, it’s just a matter of waiting some more to see what Downey’s surprise will be. :::fingers crossed:::
Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, 2015.
