Arch Enemy and Kreator 7 inch

To coincide with the launch of their North America tour this week, metal titans Arch Enemy and Kreator have done a limited-edition split 7-inch single.

For the single, Arch Enemy, who are supporting their new album, War Eternal, did a cover of the Judas Priest classic “Breaking The Law.” Kreator is on the B side with “Iron Destiny” for the latest studio album Phantom Antichrist.

Revolver debuted Arch Enemy’s cover of the Priest tune — listen to it here below.

The single will be available for purchase at the merchandise table throughout the North American tour. The exclusive transparent red 7″ is limited to 500 copies; a dark red 7″ limited to 500 copies will also be available on the European leg of the tour, which will see Kreator as the headliner with Arch Enemy as direct support.

Regarding the cover version, Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott released the following statement:

“When we do covers, we have a tendency to pick somewhat obscure songs. However, the iconic ‘Breaking The Law’ anthem by JUDAS PRIEST is anything but that of course! This just started with a fun jam in the studio, and during the process, we tried to make it sound as ARCH ENEMY as possible – it turned out pretty f’n cool, and here it is…Enjoy!”

According to Revolver, the artwork for the Arch Enemy side of the 7-inch single was done by fan Ralfy Nuyles from the Philippines.

Arch Enemy’s new singer, Alissa White-Gluz (who I’m excited to report is not only a crushingly kickass front-woman, but she’s also vegan!), put together a special Spotify playlist, which you can check out here.
