A planned remake of the 1994 cult classic The Crow is still chugging along, bringing in a new director to work on the project.
For a while F. Javier Gutierrez was attached to direct, but he eventually moved on to the next installment in The Ring series. Now Relativity Studios has hired Corin Hardy to work on the remake.
Hardy is a music video and short film director who recently made his feature debut with an upcoming movie titled The Hallow, which will be released next year. He was brought to the attention of Edward R. Pressman, who produced the original and is producing the remake, by none other than Edgar Wright.
Actors that have been in talks or attached to play the lead role in the The Crow have included Thor and The Avengers star Tom Hiddleston, True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard, and most recentlyDracula Untold star Luke Evans. It’s not clear if Evans is still set for the role.
