An effectively creepy new poster has been released for Digging up the Marrow, the upcoming movie from Adam Green, writer and director of Hatchet, Frozen (no, not that one silly), and Hatchet II.
The movie has been on the way for a few years now, but hasn’t received much attention yet, which has been the intention. Green described the movie as an “art documentary” for a while, and despite a release fast approaching very little has been sent out to promote it including no trailer yet, creating a healthy dose of intriguing mystery around it.
What the movie is exactly is a bit tricky to explain, so I’ll let those behind its creation do it! You can check out the cool new poster for Digging up the Marrow, read more about it, AND watch a video of Green talking about the project and how it came to exist below.
DESCRIPTION:
Believing is seeing.
When filmmaker Adam Green receives a package in his fan mail from a strange man claiming that he can prove that monsters indeed exist, he and his crew are taken on a mysterious, fantastical, and terrifying journey into the shadows and deep down under the ground below our very feet. Inspired by the art of Alex Pardee and starring Ray Wise (TWIN PEAKS, X-MEN FIRST CLASS), DIGGING UP THE MARROW has shaped up to be the most unique ArieScope film to date as its real-life documentary style blends reality with fantasy in a way that will leave even the most hardcore skeptic believing in the existence of monsters. “You will believe.”
Written and directed by Adam Green.
Theatrical and VOD release: 2.20.15
