We heard the news he was coming…
We were right there when Ray Palmer showed the hologram to Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards)…
And we saw the stills…
Now we get to see Brandon Routh don his Atom costume in the promo video here below for Arrow 1.15 “Nanda Parbat.” It’s just a tiny glimpse at the end of the video, but we know now that Ray Palmer’s Atom suit is ready to go.
Felicity has tried in vain to slow down this process having almost lost Oliver (Stephen Amell) in this war against those who have “failed this city.” But Ray, with so much wealth yet feeling so powerless, needs to do more to fight the rampant crime and corruption. With their chemistry so much stronger than the “Olicity” bond, will Felicity fall for another vigilante? My bet is yes. What’s yours?
Also new on the Arrow news front, is that Doug Jones (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy) has joined the cast as the villain Deathbolt. Jones will make his debut in the 19th episode of season 3, titled “Broken Arrow.” This marks Jones’ second stint with something based on a DC Comics property, the first being as one of Penguin’s thin and fat clown henchmen duo (he was the thin one) in 1992’s Batman Returns.
One more little thing Arrow and The Flash fans have to look forward to (I only know this because I stalk IMDB), that The Flash 1.18 aptly named “All-Star Team Up” due in April 2015, has Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom listed in the cast for that episode. Felicity will also be traveling to Central City, and Emily Kinney (formerly of The Walking Dead) is listed as Brie Larvan/Bug-Eyed Bandit.

Because of his love for Thea (Willa Holland), Oliver (Stephen Amell) considers saving Merlyn. Ray (Brandon Routh) is obsessed with finishing his Atom suit so he can save the city but Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) fears he is heading down the same path as Oliver (Stephen Amell) and tries to pull him out of the lab.
