Richard Madden (Robb Stark, Game of Thrones) visited Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to promote his new movie, Disney’s live-action Cinderella, set to hit theaters March 13, 2015.
Watch the “painfully” funny video below.
They discussed the pros and cons of being Prince Charming. On the one hand, he’s freakin’ Prince Charming, and his niece can watch the film (why not Game of Thrones?). On the other hand, if “snot comes out of your nose – oh nice one Prince Charming!” from women in your life.
“I’m waiting for the headline, NOT SO PRINCE CHARMING,” says Madden.
Kimmel showed a promotional shot which strategically hid Madden’s groin area. Madden explained that the process to find the right jockstrap for the tight white pants was excruciating to the point of tears. People were staring at his crotch, it was uncomfortable, and they had to do it that way, because it’s Disney. He had to be like a “Ken doll,” according to Kimmel.
From the second video, Madden knew that his death was coming during the Game Of Thrones “The Red Wedding,” although not every actor gets that luxury. He had to jump on a plane right after shooting that scene on his last day of work. The fake blood stayed for days and he had to jump on a plane all bloody and crying because he was sad.
Madden is utterly charming in his Scottish accent, as the second most famous person from his little village (William Wallace is the most famous). Laugh and enjoy!
Cinderella, as we all know, is about a poorly treated stepdaughter (played by Lily James), who, with the help of her fairy godmother (Helena Bonham Carter), meets her Prince Charming. After a bunch of near-misses and a lost glass slipper, they live happily ever after. I hope this didn’t spoil anything for anybody.
