Bates Motel returns to A&E with an all new installment tonight, Episode 3.3 “Persuasion,” and the network has release a preview video and the first images from the upcoming episode.
Watch the preview and check out the first images from the episode in the image gallery here below.
In Episode 3.3 “Persuasion” will see the arrival of Kevin Rahm, who stars as Ted Chaough on AMC’s Mad Men and was a resident of Wisteria Lane on ABC’s Desperate Housewives. On Bates Motel, he threatens Romero’s (Nestor Carbonell) position in town, as does the arrival of Tomiwa Edun‘s (Merlin) character. Also, checking into Bates Motel this week (and we know staying there likely means a limited run on the show) is Joshua Leonard, best known as one of the leads in The Blair Witch Project. Leonard’s James Finnigan will play a psychology teacher who takes a special interest in Norma (Vera Farmiga).
Bates Motel Episode 3.3 airs on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 9PM ET/PT on A&E.
From A&E’s press release:
Norman and Norma grow apart as Norman and Emma grow closer. Norma balks when Romero asks Norman some tough questions. Romero meets his competition for re-elections.
This week, guest stars Kevin Rahm (Mad Men) and Tomiwa Edun (Merlin), arrive in White Pine Bay. Their appearance will threaten Romero’s standing and reputation in the town. Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project) also checks into the Bates Motel this week as a psychology teacher who takes a special interest in Norma.

“What motivates Norma is protecting Norman.” Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin talk about Norma’s growing fears about her son in this web exclusive from “The Arcanum Club.”

Do any of you think Norma is the one who kills these women? Any woman is a threat to her unnatural bond with Norman. In the future, Norman murders as Norma. He becomes her. He may find this out, or realize he knew all along but suppressed the memories as he gets older. When he kills later in life, he is imitating her and only the Norman part of his brain remembers as in the movie. This would give the show a shocking finale and bring Carlton the accolades he wants to get again. Any thoughts?
