Warning – Spoilers for Better Call Saul Episode 1.8 “RICO.”
AMC’s Better Call Saul Episode 1.8 “RICO” aired Monday night and we got a lot of backstory for Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk), how he became a lawyer, and the start of why he hates Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian) his brother Chuck’s (Michael McKean) law partner, so much. We also got a glimpse of how Mike (Jonathan Banks) started his journey into the underworld, so to speak, after being a veteran cop on the Philly PD.
The network has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which sees Chuck mindlessly taking steps into the outside world, much to Jimmy’s shock. AMC has also released a behind-the-scenes featurette that’s a 3 1/2-minute “Inside Look” at the episode, which shows the two brothers coming together and working on such a big case, as well as a little bit about Kim (Rhea Seehorn), Jimmy’s friend/love interest.
You can watch all the videos here below.
Jimmy shows Chuck that he is willing to do anything to win a case.
The first season of Better Call Saul will run for 10 episodes and stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill (Saul); Jonathan Banks reprising his Breaking Bad role as Mike Ehrmantraut, seen here as a parking lot clerk who will becomes Jimmy’s ally; Michael McKean as Chuck McGill, Jimmy’s brother, who’s medical and/or psychological illness appears to be getting worse; Rhea Seehorn from TV sitcom Whitney as Kim Wexler, Jimmy’s love interest or possibly just close friend, it’s too hard to tell at this point; and Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, Chuck’s law firm partner and Jimmy’s nemesis, who continues to butt heads.
Better Call Saul Episode 1.9 “Pimento” airs on AMC on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10/9c. If you need to catch up on the first eight episodes, you can watch them in full at AMC for the next few weeks.
