Spoilers! Do NOT continue reading unless you are already up to speed!
Last week on Arrow 3.16 “The Offer,” the title referred to Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) handing Oliver (Stephen Amell) the keys to the kingdom in exchange for Malcolm Merlyn’s (John Barrowman) life. After all, Oliver fulfilled the prophecy of surviving Ra’s sword. Oliver struggles with this decision, but ultimately makes a choice, to everyone’s detriment. While Oliver struggles with that, Thea (Willa Holland) struggles to not kill her father.
Arrow 3.17 “Suicidal Tendencies” review: Wedding bells are ringing! Diggle and Lyla (David Ramsey and Audrey Marie Anderson) are getting married! Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) shows up with Ray (Brandon Routh) as her “plus one.”
Diggle whispers to Ray, “You hurt her they will never find your body.” Aw!!
Of course Ray Palmer is a minister. What can’t this guy do? Simultaneous news alerts give the gang the headline that the Arrow has killed. What the? The lesson of the day is — don’t say no to Ra’s al Ghul.
Newlyweds Diggle and Lyla get Deadshot-knapped on the way to their honeymoon, but gladly go along with the mission to save a senator. “The Suicide Squad rides again!”
As we know from the trailer, Ray discovers that Oliver Queen is the Arrow. How does he handle it? How do you think? Not with hugs and kisses.
What a great episode!
My thoughts…
– I find stalker Cupid kinda charming.
– Deadshot is hysterical.
– I was in the small minority that wanted those 2 crazy kids, Felicity and Ray, to make it.
– Oliver really does need a love interest. Somebody get casting on the phone.
– Man…that ending. And then that other ending.
