Have you ever imagined what a George R.R. Martin-produced Muppet Babies-style cartoon series for kids of Game of Thrones fans would look like? Well now you don’t have to! Thanks to Conan O’Brien and TBS we now have “Lil Thrones,” a Conan web exclusive! Introduced by the man himself, “Lil Thrones” depicts all the horrors of Game Of Thrones set to the tune of a very cute theme song with lively animation. “Lil Thrones, Lil Thrones, we’re having so much fun. Lil Thrones, Lil Thrones”¦ by killing everyone!”
Check out this amazing video here below.
Joyful singing describes all the graphic show violence. From King Joffrey’s poisoning, to Ned Stark’s beheading (complete with head on a spike singing), to the Red Wedding, it’s all in here. The funniest segment of Lil Thrones deals with the insane amount of people who have lost their “naughty bits.” Animated Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) gets in on the action, too. “I’m the only one who anyone likes anymore!” Even Hodor (Kristian Nairn) gets a line. Can you guess what that is?
I can honestly say there are times when I think I’d like a not-so-kid-friendly animated version of GoT. The show, for all its glory can sometimes be a LOT to slug through. Like the Lord of the Rings series, Game of Thrones has SO MANY characters, plots, and subplots that it all gets a bit confusing. A nice little 30-minute cartoon would be quite refreshing, and might make things a bit clearer.
Game of Thrones returns with the Season 5 premiere on Sunday night, April 12th at 9:00pm ET on HBO. Conan airs on weeknights at 11:00pm ET on TBS.
