Pallas and Medea give each other the literal side-eye as each tries to find out how the other is using Lykos: Pallas wants to set them both up for treason and take over Aegeus’ throne for himself. Medea wants to leverage both the sons to gain power for herself. Neither of them seems to consider Aegeus himself a viable option, which makes sense, since 1) at this particular moment he’s having even more sex with the priestess instead of governing, and 2) during a climactic fight scene later, he basically knocks himself out by running into a vase. We’re starting to feel sorry for the guy, but as kings go: not great.
