After the scariest episode of Louie (or any show for that matter), ever, and one of the best episodes last week, what does Louie (Louis C.K.) have in store for us now that he’s decided to go on the road? Awkward road experiences of course!
It’s an airplane/ hotel/ motel/ driving Louie experience. Awkward drive in Cincinatti. He’s got a chatty driver. I agree Louie. There is a special place in hell for people who want to chat you up when you don’t feel like it, especially in the driver/passenger situation. He gets put up in a shitty motel and he’s not having it. He’d rather work for free and stay someplace nice. I would too.
Weirdly funny part: Someone bangs on the door looking for “Roger.”
Louie: “He’s dead.”
I like the bluesy musical accompaniament. It’s proper. Like “I’ve been on the road for so long” blues.
At the airport the second time, everything that can go wrong, does go wrong. He finds an unattended kid on an airtrain. The family had forgotten her. The kid is scared, doesn’t speak English. This is a recipe for disaster. Then he loses the kid.
Louie accidentally leaves his carryon on the plane. Uh-oh, “unattended” bags or packages have serious warrning signs all over airports. He finds out firsthand what happens to those bags.
It is a good episode. Although the trademark bad luck and strange situations follow him, it doesn’t end hopeless which are the episodes I don’t like.
The season finale of Louie airs Thursday, May 28th at 10:30pm ET on FX.
