Heroes Reborn Header

It all began… with a cheerleader.

I clicked play for the first chapter of Heroes Reborn: Dark Matters web series, the prequel to Tim Kring‘s Heroes Reborn limited series, airing in September, and got goosebumps. The first chapter gives a little history about the EVOs (Evolved Humans), via Hero_Truther (good name), and how it went from miraculous wonder to fearful hate.

Watch the entire web series here below.

The 6 webisodes range from 4 to 11-minutes, and despite the short screen time, it is not rushed. Just in the first episode alone, the interaction between Quentin (Henry Zebrowski) and his sister Phoebe (Aislinn Paul), say so much in the silence – very realistic. I’m not going to give away anymore than this… the web series has heightened my Heroes anticipation. Good job Tim Kring!

Heroes Reborn – Dark Matters Chapter One: Where Are the Heroes? (Digital Exclusive)

The prequel series begins as the mysterious Hero_Truther puts out a rallying cry for EVOs to declare themselves by telling personal stories in the wake of lies and fearmongering. Quentin encourages Phoebe to continue documenting her story when she begins college, where she becomes fast friends with her roommate Aly (Greta Onieogou). Heroes Reborn – Dark Matters Chapter Three: “Registered” (Digital Exclusive)

After a pro-EVO demonstration at the college gets out of hand, Phoebe is arrested and forced to register in a national database. When Phoebe is approached by Harris (Clé Bennett) with a job offer at the fast-growing tech company named Renautas, it raises Quentin’s suspicions.

Heroes Reborn – Dark Matters Chapter Five: “Renautas” (Digital Exclusive)

In the wake of tragic events on June 13th, Quentin refuses to believe his sister was involved in the attacks and believes Renautas was behind Phoebe’s abduction.

Heroes Reborn – Dark Matters Chapter Six: “Where the Truth Lies” (Digital Exclusive)
