Twentieth Century Fox has released the official trailer for their upcoming film Victor Frankenstein, starring James McAvoy as the famed literary scientist Victor Frankenstein and Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe as his sidekick Igor.
Watch the full trailer here below, which includes an introduction by the two aforementioned main stars.
Directed by Paul McGuigan (Push) with a screenplay by Max Landis (Chronicle), the film adapts Mary Shelley’s classic novel Frankenstein about the title scientist who takes his experiments too far when he creates human life from death. In this version, Igor takes a more prominent role, warning his master of the dangers. From the trailer, it seems like the look of Victor Frankenstein is very Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes.
James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe star in a dynamic and thrilling twist on a legendary tale. Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.
Victor Frankenstein, which stars Daniel Radcliffe, James McAvoy, Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, and Freddie Fox, hits theaters on November 25, 2015.
