Last night, Sunday, August 23, 2015, saw the long-awaited series premiere of AMC’s new original drama Fear the Walking Dead, the prequel/spin-off to the network’s highly successfully series The Walking Dead, which starts its sixth season this October.
The 90-minute premiere went along mostly at a slow pacing, mostly introducing us to new central characters — high school guidance counselor Madison Clark (Kim Dickens), her daughter overachieving daughter Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey), her drug addict son Nick Clark (Frank Dillane), and supportive English teacher live-in fiance Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis). Thanks to Nick’s drug problems, the family has been through a lot, and as we know from The Walking Dead universe, it’s nothing compared to watch they’re about to face on a grand scale.
AMC has released a sneak peek of the upcoming second episode. Watch the scene here below, which involves Madison and one of her students, Tobias, the bullied kid who tried to warn her of the impending doom.
You can also see the promo video for this second episode. From this video, you can see that things in Los Angeles are going to escalate real fast as the virus spreads, panic and fear set in, and the military is deployed.
