Starz already has a horror-comedy series on the way in the form of Ash vs. Evil Dead, but they might not be stopping there.
It’s being reported that Starz is developing a new horror-comedy series titled Trapped. The show comes from Mila Kunis‘s Orchard Farm Productions, and will be executive produced by Kunis along with House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects director Rob Zombie, who is also set to direct the series. It is created and written by Arrested Development co-producer and writers assistant Joey Slamon.
Of the news, Starz Managing Director Carmi Zlotnik said:
“We’re excited to work in partnership with Rob Zombie as well as Mila Kunis and her Orchard Farm Productions associates Susan Curtis, Cami Curtis and Lisa Sterbakov on this horror comedy series.”
Trapped is described as a 30-minute horror-comedy, which takes place during a single night and follows a wealthy family who is being attacked at their home by a murderous cult.
Whether it will be an actual series or just a limited series is not clear, but judging by the premise it seems more likely to be the latter.
