Disney's Finding Dory

Disney has just released the latest trailer for Finding Dory from director Andrew Stanton who also directed Finding Nemo. Marlin (Albert Brooks) and his son Nemo (now voiced by Hayden Rolence) return, but instead of them trying to find each other, the film will turn its attention to everyone’s favorite forgetful fish, Dory (Ellen DeGeneres).

Our title character embarks on a journey to find her parents. As they swim across the Pacific Ocean, they will swim into familiar ocean critters, make some new friends, and we will find out how Dory got short-term memory loss and how she got separated from her parents. Check out the latest trailer for the film below.

The trailer is our first real look at the inside of the marine institute where the film is set. It also provides a good look at the story behind Dory’s forgetfulness. If anything the trailer should prove that Dory’s search for her own parents is enough of an interesting story that should keep the audience engaged while maintaining that same Pixar magic the animation studio is known for.

The film also features the voice talents of Kaitlin Olson as Destiny, a whale shark who knows who Dory is; Ty Burrell as Bailey, the beluga whale who struggles with his sonar capabilities; Ed O’Neill as Hank, the octopus who is dying to escape from the marine institute he is imprisoned in; and Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy as Dory’s parents Jenny and Charlie. Bill Hader also has a role in the film.

Finding Dory splashes into theaters June 17.

Here’s the official plot synopsis:
