Last time on Colony, two bombs went off. The first was in the labor camp. Bram (Alex Neustaedter) pretended (maybe) to be on Snyder’s (Peter Jacobson) side, while also being on Maya’s (Jessica Parker Kennedy) side. That didn’t work for two others who were shot in the head before Snyder could question them. Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies) kicked Lindsey (Erin Way) out of the house for punishing Charlie (Jacob Buster). Will returned to work, surprised that Jennifer wasn’t there. The 2nd bomb went off and he went to the surveillance room to find her. Next was her house where his new partner, Bob (Toby Huss) showed up, telling him she couldn’t adapt so was “transferred.” Broussard (Tory Kittles) and his team got their hands on drone tech. Katie downloaded some intel on Bram at Maddie’s (Amanda Righetti) house.
Spoilers below.
Colony 2.6 “Fallout” review: In Northern England, people from a tent community are kneeling in a raid. Eckhart’s (Charlie Bewley) mother is taken – obvious leverage.
Katie can’t open the file so Will takes it to work. He needs an access code, so goes to reluctant Betsy (Keiko Agena). She starts to help, but Bob comes in and stops them, calling Will a dog who doesn’t need a computer. Ouch. And then “transfers” Betsy, thanking Will for the heads up. Double ouch.
One of Broussard’s cell is sick. BB (Victor Rasuk) starts coughing up blood while waiting for Broussard. Morgan (Bethany Joy Lenz) goes to Katie, who doesn’t really want to help, but BB is dying. She goes even though Simon freaks out. She calls Will for help. If those kids get caught, the Bowmans get caught is the reasoning. She’s not wrong.
Nolan (Adrian Pasdar) and Maddie go to inspect the work camp and see Bram. The deputy proxy is snotty to Snyder but wants a favor – he wants a peek at the shipment. The shipment is on everybody’s minds including Bram and the kids. Maddie goes to see Bram and is visibly upset at his condition. She tells him about Charlie but he does not understand what he is still doing in the camp. Bram is definitely going to blame Will for not getting him out of there. Nolan makes Snyder show him the shipment. He sees an empty human size container. He lets Helena (Ally Walker) know.
Will sorta kidnaps a doctor from the green zone to help BB. The doc helps them and takes him to his old office. The diagnosis is radiation poisoning (from the tech) and 2 days to live. Incriminating photos are how they get the doc’s silence. BB tells Will how lucky they are to have each other. And asks him to kill him. Will obliges.
Broussard goes to the Yonk and Will hands him a bullet and Katie lectures him to “get his house in order.” Will! You can get Bram back if you give them Broussard!!
Maya takes Bram to a secret meeting. They show him a bomb.
Simon leaves. He sees the missing pics of his mother. He is going to sing many songs to the authority.
This is a very dangerous and complicated game this family is navigating through. I am consistently surprised by the actions of the characters, and the small, layered reveals of the motivations of the aliens. Clues in the trailers (people in the pods? what the heck is the factory?). I’m quite pleased that the Bowmans are on the same side, even though we are unsure of the side. Maddie made me happy this episode. I was afraid she had completely turned into a mindless alien groupie.
Colony airs Thursday nights at 10:00pm ET on USA.
