Prey

The new Prey game from Dishonored developer Arkane Studios is now less than one month from being released, and I for one am pretty excited. As I am for any video game that takes me to space. Because, well…I can’t go to space in real life. Not yet.

We’ve seen plenty of good peeks at the game so far, and there are lots more to check out if you’re not yet sold on it. A handful of videos have been released recently, which preview Prey‘s story, its various unique weapons and powers and gadgets, and more.

You can find all of these videos below.

More can be found right here, such as trailers and gameplay videos, including one massive 35-minute gameplay demo.

The game can be pre-ordered for Xbox One, PC, or PS4 now.

Prey arrives in stores on May 5th.

In Prey, you’re mankind’s last – and only – hope. Using badass weapons and powers, you’ll step into the TranStar uniform of Morgan Yu and fight through an alien-infested space station to save humanity. But while you’re safeguarding the world from the Typhon threat aboard Talos I, you’re also in search of your own identity. Who exactly are you? What powers, abilities and weapons can you wield? What other choices will you make? And who else is aboard Talos I?

You might mankind’s last hope aboard Talos I, but you’ve got a mighty arsenal to face down the Typhon threat. Armed with your wits, weapons and a host of incredible powers, it’s up to you to stop the alien invasion and save all of humanity. Piece of cake. With 24 human upgrades and 20 unique alien powers to choose from (plus all of their upgrades), no two Morgans will be the same, and no two players will have the same experiences in Prey.

You’ll need more than just your wits to take on the Typhon aliens that are threatening to destroy mankind. But why stop with the weapons and gadgets you’ll find aboard Talos I? In Prey, Morgan Yu also has the option of “installing” a wide range of human and alien abilities. Get a look at some of the powers you can use against the deadly Typhon – along with exclusive insights from the team at Arkane Studios.

Never mind the improvements to the Neural Modifier (or “Neuromod” for short) – including “smaller insertion points” on the rapid release needles that you literally jab into your eye. The real innovation is what this device can actually do: alter your neural circuitry in very potent ways. This isn’t just about enhancing your human abilities – like boosting you strength, speed, hacking skills and more – but also acquiring unique abilities that have been learned from the hostile Typhon aliens aboard Talos I.

Welcome to the Hardware Labs aboard Talos I. It’s here that many of the station’s gadgets, gears and weapons have been built. Take a look at just a few of the items you’ll have at your disposal when facing the alien threat in Prey. Along with a wide range of abilities (both human and alien), Morgan Yu has a full arsenal of killer gear. From his simple wrench to a powerful shotgun to more exotic devices, Morgan has more than enough options to suit his needs.
