The first reactions to Warner Brothers’ latest movie in their DC Extended Universe, Wonder Woman, are here. And unlike most early reactions to previous DCEU movies, the response has been positive.
The early reactions are declaring Wonder Woman a hit, saying not only is it good, but its leads, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine have wonderful chemistry, and the film is bright and inspirational. Check out the early reviews below.
While full reviews are still under embargo, those who got to see it early praise the film for being light-hearted, funny, inspirational, and not being like any of its DCEU predecessors. Most of all, critics agreed that leads Pine and Gadot have fantastic chemistry. So even though Marvel has been running the show the last few years, the summer of heroes belongs to Wonder Woman. Here are just a few tweets from those who have already seen the film.
It’s hard to deny how good (or great) Wonder Woman could be (or is) thanks to these early reactions. Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad have all had their fair share of bad reviews. Said bad reviews have cast a negative light on the DCEU as a whole.
But these early positive reactions show that the DCEU is capable of being a great franchise. You just have to find the right director. Oh and bring in the right creative minds to put it all together.
