20th Century Fox has released an official trailer for The Greatest Showman, which stars Hugh Jackman as P.T. Barnum.
The movie is directed by Michael Gracey, who makes his directorial debut, and is described as a musical celebration of the birth of show business. Also starring is Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Paul Sparks, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

SYNOPSIS:
“The Greatest Showman” is a bold and original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and the sense of wonder we feel when dreams come to life. Inspired by the ambition and imagination of P.T. Barnum, “The Greatest Showman” tells the story of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a mesmerizing spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.
“The Greatest Showman” is directed by exciting new filmmaker, Michael Gracey, with songs by Academy Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land”) and starring Academy Award nominee Hugh Jackman. Jackman is joined by Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams, Zendaya, Zac Efron and Rebecca Ferguson.
The screenplay for the movie was penned by Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters, Dreamgirls) and Jenny Bicks (Sex and the City, Rio 2). Condon is also known for his directing, with credits including Disney’s recent hit Beauty and the Beast and the upcoming Bride of Frankenstein.
First-time director Gracey is also attached to direct an adaptation of the Japanese manga series Naruto.
The Greatest Showman is set to be released in theaters later this year on Christmas Day.
