Gunpowder & Sky has released a new trailer for Tragedy Girls, a social media horror comedy starring Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool, Deadpool 2) and Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse, Straight Outta Compton).
The movie follows best friends who use murder as a tool to increase their social media following. You can read a full synopsis for Tragedy Girls and check out the trailer below.
SYNOPSIS:
Best friends Sadie and McKayla are on a mission to boost their social media fandom as amateur crime reporters hot on the trail of a deranged local serial killer. After they manage to capture the killer and secretly hold him hostage, they realize the best way to get scoops on future victims would be to, you know, murder people themselves. As the @TragedyGirls become an overnight sensation and panic grips their small town, can their friendship survive the strain of national stardom? Will they get caught? Will their accounts get verified?
Starring alongside Hildebrand and Shipp is Josh Hutcherson, Jack Quaid, Craig Robinson, and Kevin Durand. The movie is written and directed by Tyler MacIntyre (Patchwork).
Tragedy Girls hits theaters on October 20th.
