Walker Stalker Con SOA-03

Walker Stalker Con 2017 at the New Jersey Expo and Convention Center had plenty for the fans of The Walking Dead to chew on. However, in addition to the zombie extravaganza, the convention brought together some of our SAMCRO faves – Ron Perlman (Clay), Tommy Flanagan (Chibbs), Mark Boone Junior (Bobby), Kim Coates (Tig), and Ryan Hurst (Opie) from the hit series Sons of Anarchy.

Justice League

It was pretty inevitable that Warner Bros. would be making an executive decision in the wake of Justice League‘s lackluster box office performance. The numbers don’t lie — the film won’t be making a profit. At least not anytime soon. Not with the millions that went into those reshoots and marketing. That being said, the studio had to do something in order to right the ship, which by all accounts, was sinking, and sinking fast.

And that is exactly what they are doing. In a major shakeup, WB is removing key figures from their current positions and is considering merging DC movies into the studio’s main film production arm. More on the story here below.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse header image

When Sony and Marvel Studios made a deal to share Spider-Man, the former promised us that they would be expanding the Spider-Man universe without its flagship character. As strange as that sounds, the studio is fully confident that their Spider-Man-less universe can work. Not only that, but they would also be taking the character to the world of animation as well. But not with Peter Parker as the lead. Instead, the animated film would focus on Miles Morales, the second Spider-Man of the Spider-Man Ultimate universe, and the first Afro-Latino superhero. And now, we are getting a first look at the new animated Spider-Man film titled Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.

If you are expecting to see some traditional hand-drawn animation or CGI, then prepare to be quite surprised, as the film will have an unexpected style that will surely grab your interest. Check out the trailer here below.

A native of Guadalajara, Mexico, Guillermo del Toro was fascinated as a child by fairy tales, ghost stories, and monster movies that ignited his imagination and compelled him to tell his own stories. When he started writing and directing films, those influences laid the foundation for del Toro’s uniquely expressive approach to genre filmmaking – a return to the dark romanticism of Universal horror films like 1931’s Frankenstein and Dracula.

Best known for his three Spanish-language films that upend conventional genre storytelling, Cronos, The Devil’s Backbone, and Pan’s Labyrinth, del Toro weaves vivid phantasmagorias that capture the beauty and the horror of the human experience. His supernatural epics are equally as inventive, from Blade II and the Hellboy series, to Pacific Rim and his gothic romance, Crimson Peak. His new film, The Shape of Water, is the culmination of del Toro’s career thus far – the summation of everything the filmmaker has learned, refined and perfected.
