Star Wars: The Last Jedi immediately follows the events of The Force Awakens, with Rey looking to Luke Skywalker to train her in the ways of the Force, while the Resistance is in shambles as the First Order begins to make major power moves. However, there is still a lot we don’t know about the film. Luckily director Rian Johnson, along with stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis were at a recent press conference to talk as much about the film as they could without spoiling anything. Geeks of Doom sat down with fellow journalists to talk to the cast and crew of the film, and discovered a few interesting things about the relationship between Kylo Ren and General Hux, moving on without Han Solo, and how the theme of “never meeting your hero” plays a role in the film. | Jim Henson’s ‘The Dark Crystal’ Returning To Theaters Soon
Another classic is returning to theaters through Fathom Events. This time it’s The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth director Jim Henson‘s 1982 puppet fantasy feature. The movie is set to return to theaters for a limited run early next year, with screenings on two different days available. Yes, Disney has bought 21st Century Fox. So most of their entertainment assets will belong to the mouse. That means that X-Men and Fantastic Four can now play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s sandbox. Whether or not they will remains to be seen. But for those who were worried that Disney would tone down some of the more adult comic movies such as Deadpool, you can relax. Disney CEO Bob Iger says he intends to keep Deadpool as an R-rated movie. More on what he had to say about that and the future of rated-R Marvel movies below.

| Trailer For Live-Action ‘Woody Woodpecker’ Movie Released
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has released a trailer for Woody Woodpecker, a live-action movie based on the cartoon character of the same name. Most old favorite cartoon characters have been given or are getting some type of movie adaptation, and a Woody Woodpecker movie has been in the works for quite a while now. Back in 2011 Illumination Entertainment, the animation studio behind the Despicable Me movies, Minions, The Secret Life of Pets, Sing, the upcoming Grinch Who Stole Christmas movie, and more, was set to make a Woody movie.
