An official trailer for Bad Times at the El Royale has been released by 20th Century Fox.

The movie follows seven strangers with secrets crossing paths at a hotel called the El Royale. It stars Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman, Nick Offerman, and Chris Hemsworth, and is written and directed by Drew Goddard.

SYNOPSIS:

Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption”¦ before everything goes to hell.

Goddard is known for writing episodes of series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Alias, and LOST, as well as the screenplays for movies like Cloverfield, World War Z, and The Martian. He also directed The Cabin in the Woods from a screenplay he penned with Joss Whedon, and created the Marvel and Netflix series Daredevil. On top of that, it was reported last September that Goddard will be directing the X-Force movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin.

Bad Times at the El Royale is set to be released in theaters on October 5th.
