Orion Pictures has released an official teaser trailer for The Prodigy starring Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scott, and Colm Feore.

Though listed as a teaser trailer, this one is longer than the usual teaser running over two minutes. You can find a little more information on The Prodigy and check out the trailer below.

It’s not much, but here’s a brief synopsis:

A mother concerned about her young son’s disturbing behavior thinks something supernatural may be affecting him. THE PRODIGY stars Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scott and Colm Feore.

The movie is directed by Nicholas McCarthy, who previously helmed The Pact, At the Devil’s Door, and the “Easter” segment of the horror anthology Holidays. The script was penned by Jeff Buhler, who previously wrote The Midnight Meat Train, worked on the screenplays for the upcoming remakes of Pet Sematary, The Grudge, and Jacob’s Ladder, and also created the SYFY series Nightflyers based on the 1980 novella of the same name written by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin.

The Prodigy is set to be released in theaters early next year on February 8, 2019.
